Support from your peers

One of the ways in which people with M.E. are able to find some release from their symptoms is through the support of others at our self-help peer support groups.
Organised and co-ordinated by one of our volunteers, Donna, groups take place throughout each month across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
Group meetings run for just an hour, because we know and understand that many of the attendees will be impacted by the social aspect of the meeting, as well as journeying to and from the venue.
Meetings take place both in person and via Zoom online meetings, enabling those who are too unwell to venture outside to still take part in meaningful support sessions.
Meeting dates
Meeting dates are set so that sessions take place once a month, future dates are arranged within the group and shared amongst those in attendance, and via shared WhatsApp chats or messages.
Attendance at our group sessions are not subject to Shropshire ME Group membership, but we would encourage you to become a member to benefit from our other services and resources. Donations help ensure our groups continue to operate and be a lifeline for those who use them. Financial gifts are always welcome and further details can be found here.
