Challenges times for those at risk.
2020 was a challenging year for many people following the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The pandemic has introduced new threats to many people who live with serious and chronic illnesses.
There has been much talk across the country about the effects of long-covid or post-covid chronic fatigue. This has prompted new research that we hope will be a positive link to studies already underway into M.E/CFS.
Dr Charles Shepherd and the M.E. Association have produced some helpful publications to provide some understanding about the pandemic. Please see the leaflet further down this page.
M.E/CFS has not been included in the list of conditions that would identify someone as being extremely vulnerable, unless you have another serious condition that is on the list. But we know that illnesses such as seasonal Flu can be incredibly debilertating for those with M.E.
It is vital that those living with M.E. to people careful and to follow all the guidance from Government and NHS services as and when they are made available.
